Well, not exactly. I am back home though. Basic Military training and the Technical Training added up to almost seven months.
A few months gone, then somehow manage to make bill money on odd jobs for a few weeks before going active duty again. Figures. Guard unit deploys as soon as I walk back through the door. Lot of people aren't happy about it. Mostly my wife and mother. Dad and my brother are almost as excited as I am. I signed up for this sort of thing, so I'm good to go. For me, it can't ge here soon enough.
Not to say I won't miss the wife and kids, because I will. A lot. But, doing it while I'm young will be a lot easier than doing it while I'm old.gotta get a little retirement plan started somewhere. Might as well be with the military.
